I like to submit the flash durring the middle of the day. That way a bit of everyone can see it I think.

I enjoyed that video! And yes, I think it's alright to vote on your own video. I submit mine just after midnight. That way people who are up late can watch them, people who are up early, etc. I really don't mean to brag, but I usually get a 1st or 2nd place daily award, so I think this method works well. Good luck with your videos!

I used to "5" my own movies believing that they would somehow fly through "Judgement" and get great scores until one day while submitting some crap at 2am in the morning (GMT) I accidentally "Blammed" my own cartoon.

I broke out into a cold sweat and started vomiting.
However, when the movie passed it got a decent score, won an award and ended up on the front page.
Now I seem to have developed a kind of superstition whereby I always "Blam" my own cartoon while it is "Under Judgement".

It may seem foolish to some to spend months on a project, finally submit it and then be the first to vote zero but I swear it works. Every-time I follow the superstition I win an award or get front-page and, once, been offered some casual but lucrative work.

I don't know how it works but it does!
